This is a true turnkey operation that requires minimal upkeep and expense. The site uses an advanced script that has been highly customized and remains easily changeable so the options are endless. There’s an advanced payment gateway for CC bill among several other options. There’s even the ability to pay with Bitcoin. One person can run the site, no team is needed. It’s on course to earn six figures in 2025. Only $210,000. Now time for this week’s interview. My guest today on Adult Site Broker Talk is porn star Richard Mann. Richard, thanks for being with us on Adult Site Broker Talk. Thank you very much for having me today. Thank you very much. How’s your day going? It’s going great. We’re recording this on the day of the Super Bowl and I’m so happy. So happy that Chief’s lost. We nine are fans celebrate. We much already do. We nine are fans celebrate, don’t we? We shall do. We shall do. But every man knew Philly was going to win, etc. So there you go. He really wasn’t a surprise. I was just happy. You never know. So anyway, let’s talk a little bit about you. The tall, dark and well-hung male porn star known as Richard Mann is a Pisces who do his first breath in San Francisco, California, like me. Yes, sir. During the mid-60s, the only child like me, God, we’re so much alike, eventually became a multi-award winning interracial performer and learned an important thing when he began swinging during his first marriage. The ladies loved his nine-inch black cock. Well, why wouldn’t they? Unexpectedly, their male partners liked watching man plow their companions, and this led to some important porn referrals. Soon, someone told Mann that he could be a porn star, and they followed through with a referral. In 2004, Mann’s life changed when Brandon Iron, West Coast Productions, and Shane Diesel, contacted him. It wasn’t long before he visited LA and both fumbled and found his way through his first porn scenes. With titles including Black Cock Sluts, Black Bulls, Monster Cock Fuckfest, and the infamous Maniconda series, it didn’t take long for the dynamic power fucker to get noticed. Often associated with his work for Black, Black’s On Blons, and Evil Angel, Mann now works behind and in front of the camera with great results. Mann, the owner of his self-titled studio, also appears on Free Ones and runs RichardMannsWorld.com. He shoots four monthly scenes in Las Vegas, LA, and Miami. The rest of the time, he’s content to stay in San Francisco, watch documentaries, read about history, theology, philosophy, psychology, and business matters, and nerd out on network administration. Therein lies the unique sexual power of the man called RichardMann. The same nine-inch cock that unloads cream pies into white women, black women, assholes, vaginas, and as part of a double-vag and double-anal scene belongs to the man who can discuss morals, dogma, Alan Watts, Albert Pike, fair wages, hacking, and books. Yet he remains humble, saying simply, "I do sex for a living. Nothing else." No wonder he’s been making women moan and men aspire for 30 come-drenched years. How’d you like your commercial? [laughter] You can’t beat that, man. [laughter] Now I’ll say it backwards. So, Richard, does being a black male porn star known for his huge dick and the ability to lay pipe, as they say, who was also a lover of history and philosophy, surprise people who know both sides of you? Yeah, actually, you know, a lot of people don’t look at me and they see like, you know, a banker or some college professor, you know, I’m very not easily excitable, but then they’re like, "Wow, you turn into this whole different person when the camera comes on." I’m like, "Well, I’m paid to do a job. I’m not any professional. I’m going to do what it takes to do the job. And I’m a pervert, too, so... -Perm we all. -We’re all together. -Perm we all. -Perm we all. Name one man that’s not, right? Well, he should be. I mean, when you’ve... What have been some of the reactions when people know you from your work and then find out all the stuff you’re into? A lot of people, they expect, you know, porn stars to be like dumb or stupid or just should not have an opinion on anything and, you know, it’s just the opposite. Like, I’m really in this business. I’m a pervert, too, but I’m really in this business to make money. I have to go through the vagina to get in. So it’s so big. I mean, it’s just the best, best job ever. Like, "Wow, I get to do this to make money?" And I go, "Come on." It’s just the best ever, but, yeah, they tend to be surprised on both sides. Like, "Hey, like, wow, like, the people who’ve known me there for being a nerd just out of the other, when they find out that I do this, they’re kind of surprised because I don’t lead my... I don’t lead conversations with, "Hey, I’m a porn star." I just lead conversations with whatever the conversation is about. So, we’ve been in a conversation at some point in time, so I’m like, "Hey, what do you do for a living?" And I’m not shy about it. Like, "Hey, wow, like, you know, this is my day job." Yeah, I completely get it. Look, I know a lot of performers, and very few that I’ve met have empty heads. Most of them are a lot smarter than most of the general public. Yeah, it’s definitely not empty here. I’ve been studying all that stuff that you see on the commercial part. That’s very true of me. I mean, there was one time in life that I had a book in my hand, literally reading every waking moment of the day for like maybe a decade straight. You know, if I wasn’t working, working, or, you know, being with the family, but yeah. And I studied on just some of everything. You can even think of just off-brand subjects and cataclysms and just... Yeah, I loved it, though. Still do. Fantastic. So not many men’s level conversations are required to attend a swingers party or go to a swingers club? No. What was it like for you to get into the lifestyle? Do you remember a favorite party you attended? Are you still involved in the lifestyle? Not still involved because I do this, but I went to so many parties. I went to parties all over the United States, and it was just... Every one of them was just like an adventure. Pack in the bag, go in here, go in there. Sometimes, you know, a lot of those trips were paid by either the event that I was going to or a couple would pay for me or just something to that effect. So it was just all an adventure. To pick out one moment from all of that would be just really, really unfair to the whole experience. But there was a time I would just, every weekend, just go in, go in, go in, come back. Leave on a Thursday, come back on a Monday. Leave on a Wednesday, come back on a Monday. It was easy back in those days, too. Sure. What did you do for straight work before you got into this business? A network admin, a little bit of cyber security, pin testing, nerd stuff, basically. A lot of Q&A, a lot of dot-com work when it was available back then, dot-com error. Sure. Jumping from dot-com to dot-com. Yeah. I made a lot of money and lost a lot of money during that time. Yeah. Yeah. Didn’t we all? You know, we all, me, when I was in it, it was just jumping back from dot-com to dot-com, hoping that one of those would hit. You know, hey, I’m here at the beginning of it. If I stay for this long, maybe it’ll hit. And then it go out of business and you go to another dot-com. And unfortunately, I didn’t get on one of those that hit, but that was pretty much the life of a dot-com hopper, pretty much right there. You were one of those guys who, where your walls were papered with a stock that wasn’t worth anything. Yeah. I remember those days. I remember them well. When I learned to lie in, you know, when the whole dot-com error was gone, I still had those skills and whatnot. I was able to still stay in the field and just do my thing and just be happy. And then this came along and was like, okay, well, hey, let’s keep going. Do you miss it? No, because I still have it here in my house. I mean, I have my own, my office is my office where I edit/do this/do that, but I also have my own actual network where I still do my thing, where I still practice, where I still keep up with the latest that’s going on. What’s your take on everything going on with AI now? I haven’t really jumped into AI. I’ve just been, I’ve been lazy as far as that’s concerned. I mean, you know, most of my time is spent, you know, editing, uploading, just that, but I just be making sure to make sure every one of my platforms is fed. So I’ve been going over to my other profile on my desktop, which is my hacking profile. I haven’t done that in like a few years, but yeah, it’s coming. I just want to figure out a way that it can help me doing what I’m doing in porn. Oh, I’ll tell you, everyone I know is using it for something. Yeah, and I figure I have to too. Yeah, yeah, either do it or be left behind, right? You can’t not do it. You have to, you have to keep up. You just have to just run away around it. We do so much manually, man, you do more than I do. I’m not editing and I’m not, you know, doing it any back end of my website. I’ve got a guy that does that for me, but just in daily tasks, I’m starting to use things like chat, GPT more and more every day and it just blows me away. What it will do for me. Okay, so what do you primarily use it for? I’ll use it to rewrite press releases, a different version for every media, every medium. So it’ll help with the SEO and it will also help those platforms not be running the same thing as everyone else, which usually when people send out a press release, they send out one press release and 90% of the media just run it as is. And that’s not good because Google does not like duplicate content. Okay, I’ll use it for simple things like people send me something numbered and I want to take the numbers out, right? Just basic BS like that and I’m finding more uses. I had an agreement yesterday and the stupid attorney didn’t red mark his changes. Okay, so I threw it all into chat GPT and it told me what the changes were. So every day something else, it’s pretty bizarre. That’s helpful though because it just saves you the time and effort from having to do it, you know. And time is, I know time is valuable for me here. Every minute is like just so much to do is like every second I have to plan out my time. And you know what? I can’t do that right now because that’s taken up too much time. I have to do this first and it’s just so valuable. You can’t waste any time not in this day and age. I agree. We’re not getting any younger, right? I know I’m not. Me either. We’re not that far apart in age. So a decaying marriage and your escape into swinging ultimately led you to being contacted by porn insiders. Richard, what was that transition like and has porn helped you move on and heal after the divorce? Well, I wasn’t really doing the lifestyle while I was married. My first marriage I was actually act after like maybe six months after I got divorced. I was healed from the marriage and the moment I left to tell you the truth. But when the offer came down for porn, I really just seemed where it could lead to. Where it could lead to like right here where we’re at right now. So I was like, you know, if I could just stay with this and do this and just keep my eye on the prize and just I’ll be all right. And that’s what I did. I didn’t lose focus. I mean, there were there were times where I could have just quit and it would have been like, damn. But I just kept thinking like, OK, what would it be like you when you’re 50, 55, 60, like I am now? You check when you’re jacking off and you’re looking at porn and you’re thinking, oh my God, that could have been me or should have been me and all that other stuff. And I couldn’t just have that going through my head. So I just kept going better than having regrets later. Most definitely. Oh my God. I could just think of it now. Just me crying and whining and all this other stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Have opportunities to work change now that you’ve been in the industry for a while. And do you have the same fan base as when you were younger? I do have the same fan base as when I was younger. And you know, there’s people all the time. Yeah, I remember watching you way back then. I’ve been watching you since then and this dad and other. And you know, like, wow, I mean, now it is easier for me to get gigs this that other most definitely than it was. I mean, when I first started started, I was under contract for about two and a half, maybe three years with Hush Hush Entertainment. They’re known as Interracial Pass. Now, when that contract ended, I went to get work with, you know, some of the other majors, but I had some, had some failed performances. So I was like, wait a minute, the best way to get at this now would be to do it my own self when I’m where I can be in environments that I’m more comfortable. So I wouldn’t, you know, this performance anxiety wouldn’t kick in and it’d be all bad. I was like, OK, will you come from a swinger background? That’s where you’re most comfortable at. You never had any wood problems or anything like that at any of parties or events that you went to go back to doing it like that. And, you know, there’s certainly there’s people you can find to film, film with that are doing the same thing, which was kind of hard back then. But, you know, I was like, that’s what I have to do. That’s what I have to do. But at the same time, you know, I was like, OK, well, I know I do have to go beyond that, you know, as far as I can just say, film quote unquote amateur or whatever. I’m called amateur or pro am. I have to get back to this quote unquote mainstream. And I was like, OK, you get out of this may. I still have to keep doing this because this is what’s going to, as far as the amateur program, you know, I’m doing it myself, which I still am doing it. But I have to do it this way in order to make money to make a living. It’ll keep my face out there because, you know, people still know me from being under contract. You know, just keep my face in front of people’s, you know, eyeballs and just keep flooding them and keep hitting them with content, content, content, content. And you’ll be all right. You talk about performance anxiety and bring up a really, really good point. Talk about the pressure on performers, especially male performers, to be on their game. It’s nerve wracking. It’s nerve wracking to go to a shoot and, you know, and in your mind, well, at least my mind is like, is it going to work? Is it not going to work? Is it going to work? Is it not going to work? And I have to then, you know, while you’re telling yourself in your mind that you still got to actually work through making it work and making everything happen. And it’s a real trip because you got to like, it’s almost like you have to cut it on. Like, you know, you try to gauge between, okay, when the scene is going to actually start before you have to start cutting on the perfect in your mind less than after the check, maybe like size on the rub, thinking of some other porn where it was nasty enough for you. And, you know, just so you can get a job and then, okay, everything starts going every, you know, it’s, I’m starting to get a hard on. And then, you know, she starts grabbing your phone. The scene starts. Okay, we’re good to go. It’s almost almost like a, it’s a real game within your head that, you know, one plays. And so everything, a line of the stars are lined up and you have a good scene. Yeah. So it’s something else. Each guy goes through it their own different way. But yeah, it’s really nerve wracking. It’s telling the truth. There’s a lot of pressure too, because let’s face it, if you can’t perform, then there’s no scene. Yeah, you really can. And imagine these people that went out and they got the female performer that you’re going to work with. They have to pay her rate. The cameraman’s rate has to be paid where the location is, the makeup and everything else. And if you don’t work, that scene doesn’t go. It’s like all that money has been wasted. Yeah, exactly. Plus, I could imagine also that if that happens once or maybe even more than once, that really puts you behind a lot of other people for future scenes, doesn’t it? Yeah. As a matter of fact, I was in my first contract before, excuse me, before HushHush, before Interracial Pass was with West Coast Productions. And I had three bad scenes and they let me out of my contract. Wow. Mm-hmm. So you know. Yeah, I know. I’ve lived it. And that stuff’s going through your mind, right? And imagine that first contract before I even really, really started. I mean, before those three bad scenes, I had maybe less than half a dozen good scenes. And so those three scenes kicked in and here I am thinking like, oh my God, I mean, it’s over before it even really started. So I’m thinking to myself, oh my God, what am I going to do? So imagine you can’t be out of the game. You got to keep also what you’re going to do. So I looked for other people, other websites doing it and bumped into a trashy entertainment, Damien King, Raven Black, and they said, hey, if you can come down here and shoot for us, you’ll be just fine. And I was like, okay, yeah, I went down and shot for them and had two, three good scenes in a row and they took me under their wing and I was pretty much back in and rocked with them for a minute and by still having a nine to five, et cetera, et cetera. And then I got a call from Shane Diesel. Hey, the hush hush entertainment, they’re looking for another guy to put under contract. If you come down here and it all goes well, they’re like, want to sign you to a contract. And I was like, fine. But at that time, I had just started another job. I was like, I hadn’t even got my first paycheck from them when that call from Shane came in. So I was like, okay, you know, well, I’ll come in, I’ll do the shoot. I can come in this Saturday on the weekend. And he was like, no, they don’t shoot on the weekends. They shoot on the weekdays. So you have to come on the weekdays. I’m like, well, I just got this job. And he was like, well, that’s the only time they shoot. So I walked off the job and even got my first paycheck. I had nobody in the bank. Yeah. And as they say, the rest is history. Yeah. And if that wouldn’t have worked out, if that wouldn’t have worked out, I would have been out of it and fucked. You should write a book. But it did work out and I had like no bad scenes when I was, you know, when I was signed with them. Have you thought about writing a book? I had started actually, when I take my time to write, I’m really a good writer. So it was going to be like kind of like an autobiography slash, hey, this is what it’s really like in the swing road slash this is really what corn is like. I got like maybe 150 pages wrote or maybe write up to maybe me getting right out of high school and lost it. I was actually physically writing it down and lost it. It’s a book I’d like to read. It was it was really up to those 50 150 pages. It was really good. So good that I’ve really been motivated to just start it again. I was like, you should. You definitely should because I’m listening to you and I’m thinking, oh man, this would be a good book. This would really be a great book. So Richard, is your view of interracial scenes different now than when you entered the industry 20 years ago? And if so, why and how? No, it’s the same as it was. I mean, no, it’s to me, it’s just all fucking to me. It’s all six, be it white chick, black chick, Latin chick, Asian chick, you know, that’s just the time that other people put on it. But I mean, that’s really what it is. It is interracial. So it is a fitting title. But to me, it’s all the same sex. It’s all the same fucking. Yeah. Well, they got to put a label on it, right? So so they know what to label it on porthole. Exactly. Like for real, exactly. Just like, you know, you have to label everything as a label in this world. So you have to label it something. So most definitely. But it’s been the same. So you shoot content in LA, Las Vegas and Miami these days. Do you have a favorite or does it depend on the season? I actually like Las Vegas only because I can get around there much more quicker and much more easier. A couple of cameramen in Vegas, talent is more easily readily available for me in Las Vegas. But yes, I would say I would say Las Vegas. But I love Los Angeles too, though. Except when it’s burning, right? I was down there for I was down there for expiz. I actually flew out from Thailand while the fires were going on. And the night. Oh, terrible. And the night before it was point two miles from the show hotel. So I took a chance. But terrible. That’s terrible stuff. Yeah. Well, they they controlled it. They didn’t want Hollywood to burn. But let’s just hope that there’s there’s no repeat of that crap. What memorable things have happened during your career during shoots? He laughs. Memorable things have happened. Well, you know, having having five cheese give me a blow job, which that was very, very memorable at once. So, you know, they’re all at the same time switching, taking turns. That was very memorable. First orgy. I will. Yeah. First orgy was as far as on film. That was very memorable. There’s a lot of them. This I’ve had nothing but great shoots my whole career. I mean, you know, of course, you know, a couple that wouldn’t feel that wasn’t so great. But as a whole, as a big hole, like 99 percent is it just been great. Great talent, great camera person, great everything. I’ve never had any problems on set on it. I hear sometimes they’re like, oh, she was this way and he was that way. And the camera person was this way. And I’m like, OK, well, I’ve never had any of those experiences on any, any shoot. Well, it’s a credit to you. I guess you obviously respect your fellow performers. And, you know, that’s what it comes down to. But most definitely. I mean, I just give out what I would want. I treat people hard. I want them to treat me. And that’s it. Sure. Have you been shocked by some of the stuff that’s come out in the past, like the whole run, Jeremy thing? Yeah, actually, actually, I was shocked in regards to that. But but really, and truthfully, it’s like here with me, I just pretty much stay in my corner. And when it’s time, when it’s time to come out and do my thing, she used to do business. Then I come out. So, you know, I’m not really one to keep up on, say, industry gossip, industry news on, you know, what’s going on, who’s on the outs, who’s on the ends. Or, you know, I just maybe I should network a little bit more. But yeah, but the gossip is just that gossip. And it’s usually not worth the crap. And, you know, I just I just really don’t engage in it. That’s good. That’s good. Do you feel male performers get as much appreciation, publicity and financial compensation for their work as they should? Appreciation. No, I forget the second one that you said, but financial, I would say it is better now than it used to be publicity. It was better before than it is now. When I first started, yeah, when I first started, when I was under hush hush, the focus was was on the male performer. And the focus was on Shane when he was over there. The focus was on me, like, you know, titles in my videos or Mala Kanda, big man on campus, man in the house. You know, they really played a thing. So focus was on was on me, like, backed into the focus was say on Lex, even though, you know, Lex still has that now. Now, not so much pay, I would say, pay a scam up, paying up. I mean, my rate is on par with the females rates these days. It’s good. Yeah, but as it should be. Yeah, I’d say probably the average male rate these days is made about $800, which is not too bad, actually. So now that you have your own website and production company, what do you do differently than before? Can you be more creative? Is it primarily for the ability to control your image and content or what? It’s for all of the above. I mean, I get to make it how I want to make it. I own it. I mean, I can do whatever I want to do with it. I can, yeah, I can make money, money, money with it forever, you know, any way I want to. Yeah, it’s just, I try my own destiny, like, now, now it is, I do what I want. I don’t have to shoot for any company. I don’t have to shoot for all of those beautiful companies that I shoot for. I could just do it on my own, how I want to do it and do a great job and make great money doing it. So, yeah, it feels great. What do you see as positive developments in today’s porn industry? The fact that one could do it themselves, that if you really, really work at it, you know, you don’t need any particular company. You have the internet. I mean, the internet levels the playing field where any Tom Dick or Harry can just say, you know what, I want to do this and actually get into it and really be successful at it. But, you know, most that get into it are not because they’re not just really not willing to put the work in that needs to be put in. I’m like, it’s the easy thing to do for the most part. It’s just really tedious because there’s a lot to do is it’s really tedious making trailers and editing videos because you want to get it perfect and this data. The other you got to be tedious when you’re making thumbnails and it takes up a lot of time. It’s like it’s easy. It’s just it’s just really time consuming. Are you doing all that yourself? Most definitely. Wow. Why don’t you outsource some of that? I do outsource some of it. Okay. Because, you know, I have a lot of content. I have to get it outsorted, you know, and not only that, you know, I do it outsources so I can have the freedom to do other stuff. I mean, I like being on YouTube. I like I like hooking up networks here and tearing them down and building them back up again. So I do outsource some of it better. But I like doing it myself just because I like doing it. I can tell. I can tell there’s a true passion that probably comes from your background in technology. Yes, it’s a beautiful thing to say work at home. My office is right next to my bedroom and I can just from a family in my house shoes and do something that I add to the bottom line. And if I want to do something else, I can if I want to do this, I can I want to do that. Yeah, that’s the beauty of the internet, man. I can live in Thailand and do everything and I can work at home. It’s beautiful. I used to at first I used to feel guilty because I used to wave at my wife. She’d be leaving. I’d be like drinking coffee, smoking a joint. See you later. She wants to work. She’s good. Yeah, that’s what she wants to do. If it makes her happy, right? Yeah, it makes her happy. She likes doing her job. She loves her job. That’s great. Everyone should feel fulfilled. Yes, most definitely. Most definitely. I asked you this off, you know, before we did the show, but I’ll ask it as a question here. How is it being married and being a porn star? Well, I’m not sure how it is for everybody else, but for me here, it’s it’s real easy. I mean, it’s it’s no complication at all. You know, people ask like, how is that because, you know, the sex, the sex, you know, it’s like people just they have these emotions within them that. Just overrides everything else, but it just doesn’t work that way here because, you know, my wife sees I’m not trying to be romantically involved with women at work where, you know, she sees it like, OK, this is like business. You come, you fuck, you leave. You come, you fuck, you leave. But, you know, just like every other job, you you get close with people who you know, hey, how you doing? Just that other, you know, you might call them up or just see how a family member is doing that. They were telling you about that might have been sick or or son or daughter that, you know, might have went to the prom or how did it go for them? It’s just like any other profession. It’s beautiful. She sounds like a great wife. She is. Yeah. Yeah. And you talk about concerns about the people you work with. You must have been in touch with a lot of people during those fires. I’m not for them. But, you know, I know more people, more people in Vegas than I did. I do down there. So I did make some phone calls down to LA and they’re like, oh, no, we’re OK. We’re not near there. We’re over here. We’re over there. I’m like, OK, cool. She’s as long as you’re OK. But I knew just one person out of all the people that I do know in LA that were affected by the fire. Yeah. Yeah, I’ve got a friend who lost his house. Pretty tragic. Yeah, I have one who lost his house, too. And I was like, oh, terrible, terrible. Are there any current trends or issues in our industry that concern you? No, because, you know, like I said, I’m very far removed as to what is actually going on in industry of trends or, you know, the ends of the house of the industry. I mean, I don’t read any trades or, you know, when I’m on Twitter, I’m not really looking at anyone’s time. I’m more looking at what’s going on, say, politically or on the geek side than I am on the forum. Really, I just get on Twitter just to post some trailers and make a few comments here and there. And then it’s off to some other social media to do the same thing. Yeah, so, you know, I just tend not to follow anything. I just want to make your product. Well, you’re obviously aware anyway of the age verification situation, right? Oh, yeah. But, you know, but that’s always been there in a sense, you know, I got to make sure paperwork is right. You got to upload it. No, I’m talking. I’m talking about the age verification laws in the state. Oh, no, I haven’t been paying attention to that either. There’s a couple of states that are having 19 issues and shit. Oh, shit. 19 have laws. No, I haven’t been following that. Time to follow it. Time to follow it. It could it could influence your your revenue in the future or actually currently. So it would be it would definitely be a good time to start following it. We can talk about that when we get done with this anyway. So do you think you’ve built any kind of legacy in the porn world? And do you think your work has helped improve the industry or how performers are treated? I don’t think what I do has I don’t really think I’ve created any legacy as of yet until I can have a company as to where I can not have to perform. I don’t think so. I want something that can actually if I say, you know what, I don’t want to film for the next two years that I can still do it like I do today and make the profit that I make today. Until then, I’m like, OK, well, no legacy has been created, but I’m working on it. I’m getting there. Absolutely. I’m getting there. I’ve noticed. I’m getting there. Have you ever mentored new talent? And if so, who and how did it turn out? Well, yeah, I have mentored quite a few people. Rebel Rider, for example, I found Rebel Rider on a site called FetLife. Contact her and ask her, you know, does she want to do some stuff? And she’s like, OK, I’m in the game, but I haven’t really done too much. And she came through and I told her how to better do the game, you know, and some of the things to do and some of the things not to do and gave her that information. And she went on about her way. And as you know, she’s doing it really, really big right now these days. I run with a crew that I do these events with, do content events with. One of the guys that I bought into that particular group, Mr. Mysterious, he runs me today. I gave him information and told him how to do it and we hit this where you go, how you upload it. And you got to edit this way and mentor him and he’s doing it his own self. But we work together all the time. He holds camera for me. I hold camera for him. Even though I taught him a whole lot, he taught me a whole lot because he know a lot about videography photography. So he taught me. Yeah, he taught me like maybe 70% of the stuff I know in regards to videography and photography. That’s awesome. He knows a lot of graphic stuff too. The mentee becomes the mentor. Yeah, I mean, you’re supposed to learn off of each other. Yes, absolutely. That’s the beautiful thing for sure. That’s the beautiful thing. You trade knowledge and you know, he calls me, hey, what about this? And I call him, hey, what about that? And you know, we just learn off each other. You know, I outsource him for graphics work that I need. If I need something edited that I can’t say get to right away, I can call him and say, hey, can you do this for me real quick? Yeah. And I can know that it’s going to be done correctly and probably maybe better than what I can do it. So my job is just really just to bring you in, show you how it works just out of the other and you’re on your own. I’m just here to teach you how to fish. I’m not going to fish for you. Absolutely. But yeah. What advice would you give someone thinking about entering the industry and does your advice change depending on age, gender or race? My advice doesn’t change on an age, gender or race. And that advice would be to do it your own self. Just pick up a camera, get you a co-star and get it filmed. If you can’t find a camera person, put it on the tripod or do whatever you have to do to get it filmed. Edit it, upload it and away you go. I mean, like a lot of guys, they’ll hit me up and they’ll say, hey, get me in the business, help me in the business. And then when I tell them, you know what I tell them, it’s not the answer that they want to hear. They want to hear that they’re going to come in and be fucking the baddest chick ever, you know, the most hottest chick ever to walk the face of the earth. And they think that’s going to happen like right away, that very first day. And I’m like, look, you, you might have to film with a lot of the type of women that you don’t want to film with. I mean, and that’s just how it’s going to be, you know, but if you have to go that way, then go that way. Now, if you can get some of the more desirable to women for you, more women that you would like, more power to you. But if you can’t, you’ve got to do what you got to do. But, you know, you take that footage and you work it as to where maybe the shoe wasn’t as good as you wanted to. But you take the good parts of that shoe, you kind of, you put them in a trailer to make it, you know, exciting. And then people start to buy it and it’ll start, everything is going to start to go a snowball effect. And the next thing you know, you’re doing the type of things that you really want to do. And that’s how it started out with me. Awesome. What are your hard limits or boundaries when it comes to sex on camera? Women, she just can’t pay me other than that. Other than that, it’s fair game. Yeah, I kind of got the same one. That’s really it. Yeah, I understand for sure. Do you have any exciting new projects, collaborations or locations coming up? I’ve been doing my director thing over at Evil Angel for a couple of years, but, you know, I do have some projects that I am working on. Almost like I wouldn’t call it a film, but it’s more like a DVD thing, like a continuous DVD. So it’ll be like a, yeah, I guess you can call it that. You know, DVD is roughly about two, two and a half hours long and this particular project would end up being about two, two and a half hours long. What’s it about? It’s called the Adventures of Dick Man. But it’s, yeah, people will see it by, I figure maybe September, I’ll be finished with it. You know, and I’ll be shooting on some LED walls this year as well too. So based on just up in my production and making everything look better, more realistic, like an actual movie. So even though it’s still porn, the intros look better, the intros of the outros look better and it looks like more Hollywood, more cinematic. Every year I try to go up from the last year. Up the game? Yeah, I just can’t stay stagnant. That’s awesome. I feel like I take a loss if I do. Absolutely. You don’t want to get bored. No. Like get bored and that means a loss of money because the money will start going down. You are absolutely correct. If you get bored, others get bored, right? Yes, that’s exactly right. Richard, I’d like to thank you for being our guest today on Adult Say Broker Chalk and I hope we have a chance to do this again soon. That’d be great. I would like that opportunity. Thank you. My broker tip today is part six of what to do to make your site more valuable for when you decide to sell it later. Last week we talked about eliminating unneeded expenses. Next, you can trademark your website. Having a trademark instantly protects your brand and makes your site more valuable for when it comes time to sell it. Trademarking your site will cost an average of about $1,500 but should be more than worth the investment when it comes time to sell. Show buyers ways you feel the site can make more money in the future. This includes showing them future plans you may have, traffic trends as well as sales trends. If things are growing and you can show them how to grow them more, they’re likely to be willing to pay more for the site. Do something unique with your site. If you have competitors, figure a way to do it better. Be different in some distinguishable way that makes you better. Your members will notice and spend more money with you. Make your site a place that people want to visit, not just to buy things or view porn. Be creative, not just one of many. Keep thinking outside the box and make positive changes to your site. Think like a buyer when planning or updating your site. Don’t think like a tech. Think like the consumer. We’ll talk about this subject more next week. And next week we’ll be speaking with Roland Goter of Aerogasm Magazine. And that’s it for this week’s Adult Site Broker Talk. I’d once again like to thank my guest, Richard Mann. Talk to you again next week on Adult Site Broker Talk. I’m Bruce Friedman. [Music] [Music] [BLANK_AUDIO]
