Alex Steel along with her husband Dan are the founders of KinkCoach, a UK-based ecosystem serving women selling adult content online. She has sold content on most of the major adult platforms for years before stepping back to build the tools and education she wished she’d had when she started.
Dan Steel is the technical co-founder of KinkCoach. Before KinkCoach, he ran several independent businesses across other industries, with a track record of building things that worked at scale.
When Alex went into the adult content world as a seller, Dan started noticing the structural problems firsthand. The platforms left sellers to figure everything out alone.
Most new sellers were either burning out within six months or going in completely blind to the realities of the industry. He saw an obvious gap: the tools didn't exist, and where they did, they had been built by people who'd never spoken to a seller. So he built the platform side of KinkCoach from the ground up. He now leads on engineering, infrastructure, automation, and architecture, while Alex leads on seller experience, education, and the business strategy.
