First of all, Happy New Year!
It’s so nice to be back at the shows, seeing the members of my adult industry family once again, some for the first time in years due to covid.
I’ve been having some great business discussions the first few days of the shows and please stand by for the results of those discussions in the form of more exciting listings!
2022 was a challenging year. From the world financial situation to the religious and political attacks on the adult industry, we’ve had to deal with a lot.
So let’s talk about the adult industry as we move into 2023.
Financial challenges should continue in the New Year with inflation hurting consumers and of course all business, including the adult industry.
However I remain bullish on the adult industry.
It’s often been said that the adult industry is “recession proof”. I don’t know if that’s true, but I still believe that the companies that continue to give the customer what they want will prosper, while those who don’t “read the room” will suffer greatly.
I see it every day as I look at people’s financial statements.
The companies who are doing a great job, offering outstanding content and continuing to be customer centric are doing well and will get a lot when they sell their companies.
Obviously the opposite holds true for those on the other end of the spectrum.
It continues to be a buyer’s market. buyers seem to be looking for cam sites, novelty sites, dating sites, membership sites, and fan sites.
We continue to find properties that are desired by buyers, both those inside the industry and those who are new to our space.
