Bruce back with the third edition of For Owners Only.

It’s nice to be back from AVN and Internext in Las Vegas and XBIZLA.

I’d like to thank the promoters for putting on such high quality shows.

It was great to be back at live shows post covid, where the risk has been minimized.

It was wonderful to see the members of our adult industry family once again.

Sadly, a couple of weeks after the LA show we shockingly lost an industry stalwart and friend in Jesse Garza. May he rest in peace.

I had some great business discussions and meetings at the shows. Some have already resulted in new listings and more are coming in the days and weeks to come. 

The attacks continue from the religious forces that hate our industry and the politicians who are trying to gain political points by making our lives harder and harder. The latest weapon in their arsenal is to pass onerous age verification laws that require our customers to disclose their personal information.

Rest assured that the fine people at the Free Speech Coalition are on the job to challenge each and every one of these laws in court. I just had an interview yesterday with FSC Executive Director Alison Boden that will soon run on Adult Site Broker Talk. Many of you no doubt heard her speak in LA. I’m confident the FSC will continue to battle the forces that challenge our industry and that we will come out on top in the end. If you don’t already support the organization I ask that you do, either by sponsoring, or at least by being a member.

As we come into the new year it’s still very much a  buyer’s market. Like last year, buyers seem to be looking for cam sites, novelty sites, dating sites, membership sites, and fan sites.

I continue to hear from buyers I didn’t know who are interested in our listings. That’s a great sign for our industry. Just when you think you know everybody, someone new comes along.

And many new mainstream people are coming into our space and having success. New blood always helps industries grow. The adult industry is no different.
