Reference to it was made during Watergate as it was the pseudonym given to the secret informant by Howard Simmons, who was the managing editor of The Post during the time.
Behind the Green Door (1972)
Directed by brothers Artie Mitchell and Jim Mitchell of San Francisco’s The O’Farrell Theatre fame, Behind the Green Door is a 1970s porn movie that featured one of the first hardcore sex scenes, featuring Marilyn Chambers and Elizabeth Knowles. The film is about a young woman abducted and initiated into a live sex act on a private stage, participating in lesbianism, interracial sex, and a public orgy.
